About Us

The SRMCA has been around since 1963 when it started out as the Prairie Ready Mixed Concrete Association.

Then in 1983 the name was changed to the Saskatchewan Ready Mixed Concrete Association Inc. The Prairie name was dropped because Alberta (ARMCA) and Manitoba (MRMCA) had both started their own associations. The Prairie Region Mixer is now the official quarterly newspaper for the three organizations. They work together on marketing, promotion, technical advancement, and training are shared on an ongoing basis.

The SRMCA represents over 60 concrete plants and approximately 90 percent of the ready mixed concrete poured in Saskatchewan.

The SRMCA membership consists of Producer Members and Associate Members. SRMCA Producer Members are full-time professional concrete producers who derive their livelihood from the manufacture and sale of concrete. Because this is their chosen vocation, upon which their future depends, they are committed to service with integrity and are dedicated to providing the highest possible standard of concrete.

SRMCA Associate Membership may be granted to persons, firms and corporations that are related to and have a direct interest in the Ready Mixed Concrete Industry.
